Enhance your Viewing Pleasure (Suggestion)

Mon Jun 16, 2008, 1:56 PM
Hi Folks,

Just a suggestion which works very nicely with DeviantArt.
Go to [link] and download PicLens (I use Firefox). It should install and attach to your browser. In Firefox, it adds a Blue/Grey grid icon to the toolbar at the top right.

It is a very cool way of browsing images.

Now, go to your favourite category in Deviant and move over any thumbnail image. A little arrow appears on it in bottom left of thumbnail. Click it, it activates PicLens and it picks up all thumbnails in sequential pages. You now have a dynamic, matrix-like, sliding wall of images to browse. Wonderful for taking in galleries of art.

Note: I am no way connected to the software or have any affiliation with it. I am just a mere consumer of such a wonderful Free piece of software and am amazed at how it helps you browse multimedia sites.

Cheers Folks!

Don't be afraid to try it and let me know if you are enjoying the functionality of browsing. You will be impressed.

New Art Scans

Tue May 29, 2007, 2:14 PM
Hi Folks.

Have just returned from a month away in the Philippines. Beautiful! (Maganda). Anyway, managed to get my brother's scanner and scan some more art in. Scanned at 600 DPI, they are ok. Some of the images don't reflect the original tones and shadows but I'm happy with the quality for the moment. If I can locate some more drawings and the ones in my sketch book, I'll scan them in too. I really ought to be sharpening the pencil though and poising it for more sketches. I miss an old sketch session with good music playing. That's it for the moment.

Apologies on Quality

Thu Apr 12, 2007, 5:58 AM
Hi Folks, just joined yesterday and had a nosey around. My Word! Excellent place. The standards are very good, high and awe inspiring. I have let myself go recently with respect to hardly taking the pencil for a walk anymore! (i.e. - Drawing) But the stuff I have seen on here makes me want to start.

Apologies for the quality of my pictures. They were snapped before by a digital camera and have resided on my PC for awhile. My scanner is shot and crappy. Hoping to borrow my brothers soon to update and then eventually get some more stuff on here.

Again, Art is part of me, always has, may have been dormant for awhile, but, now I think it has re-awoken.

Cheers.

*Scratches head now and wonders why I let the artistic side fade in me.*
